Cool Log-in Screen

How to customize your Log-in screen

Are you fed up with the normal Windows log-in screen?

This is the way to customize your Log-in screen as you wish.

You have to install "Logon Studio" software fist.

Don’t worry. It’s for free. You can download it from this link.

Download Here

All the vista and XP users can do this. Download the right one suitable for your Operating system.

System Requirements

  • Windows XP for XP edition
  • Windows Vista 32-bit/64-bit for Vista edition
  • Minimum screen resolution: 1024 width and 768 height
  • 10MB free drive space
  • 512MB RAM
When you first launch the program you will see the following message. Press the “Yes”.

Now you can customize your log-in screen.

Using load button you can select a skin. You can download them from here

How to Use Microsoft HyperTerminal


After setup your modem you can use Microsoft HyperTerminal to send and read SMS.













Start-->All Programs-->Accessories-->Communication-->HyperTerminal
* First give a name to your connection.
* Then choose an icon.
* After Click OK, then you can see the next window.
*Choose Country code & Choose the COM port in the Connect To dialog box and click OK.(You have to know which COM port is used by your mobile phone or GSM/GPRS modem.
You can find it using,
For Windows 98: Control Panel --> Modem. Then click the Diagnostics tab. Then you can see which COM port the mobile phone or GSM/GPRS modem is connected to.
For Windows 2000 and Windows XP: Control Panel --> Phone and Modem Options. Then click the Modems tab. Then you can see which COM port the mobile phone or GSM/GPRS modem is connected to.)
*Then the properties dialog box comes out(Shown in the image). Set the correct port settings for your modem and click OK.
Now you can use AT commands to send SMS.
Use following AT commands to Send a SMS and Get Delivery report
AT
OK------------When connection between modem and PC is OK
AT+CNMI=1,2,0,1,0
To get CNMI values of your modem type AT+CNMI=?
(Above CNMI values works with my Nokia 30 modem. If your modem type is different you can't get delivery reports using this CNMI values)
